Gooik (Belgium)
Gooikoorts takes place in the municipality of Gooik, located in the southwest of the Flemish Brabant province, about 25 km southwest of Brussels, right in the heart of the Pajottenland region.
Let's go to Gooik!
I'm driving
By car, take exit 19 Aalst on the E40 towards Ninove, or exit 20 Ternat towards Enghien. Alternatively, if you're coming from the Brussels Ring (E19), take exit 13 Ninove or exit 15 Lennik. You can plan your route via Google Maps.
I would like to carpool
Do you have space available in your car, or are you looking for a carpool partner? Post a message in the Facebookevent, on the website Carpool.be, or in the Facebook group Folkpool to offer or find a lift.
I will come by public transport
You can take the train to the stations of Brussels-South, Halle, or Ninove. From there, you can catch a bus to Gooik. The nearest stops are Gooik Koekoekstraat (a 5-minute walk) or Gooik Wijngaardstraat (a 17-minute walk).
I’m cycling my way to the festival
The region is a stunning area for cycling, with its rolling hills. You’ll find the festival site between cycling junctions 14 & 15, and there’s a convenient bike parking spot right by the entrance to lock your bike.
Welcome to the festival grounds!
The festival entrance is located on Lindestraat, at number 15.
Attention! During the festival, Lindestraat will exceptionally be one-way from Dorpsstraat to Rozenbroekstraat. To reach the festival entrance and parking lot 2, it's best to approach via Dorpsstraat or Eeckelstraat. Please note, your GPS may direct you the wrong way, as this is a temporary traffic situation.
Parking
You can park for free near the festival grounds during Gooikoorts. Follow the signs from the center of Gooik to find the designated parking areas.
- P1 (Lindestraat) is the most resistant to rain. The first section has a paved surface, perfect for motorcycles. The second part, accessible via an alley, is a grass field. It's about a 700-meter walk to the festival entrance.
- P2 (Lindestraat) is an unpaved parking area and will be unavailable in case of heavy rain. You can use this parking lot to access the tent camping area, making the walk shorter. However, cars are not allowed to drive up to the camping site. This parking is also very close to the festival entrance.
- PArtist (Houteman) can be accessed via Dorpsstraat and is reserved exclusively for artists, people with reduced mobility, and market vendors.
The festival grounds are accessible at the following times:
- Friday, July 4th from 18:00 to 3:00
- Saturday, July 5th from 9:00 to 3:00
- Sunday, July 6th from 9:00 to 1:00
Food & drinks
At the festival, you'll find a variety of food stalls with vegetarian options. The bar serves a great range of non-alcoholic drinks, beer, and wine – all in real glasses. Plus, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast on Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 11 AM. Come and treat yourself to a culinary adventure at Gooikoorts!
Pay
At the festival, you can easily buy drink vouchers and food tokens at a separate counter. You can pay with cash, card, or Payconiq (don't forget to install the app in advance). For extra convenience, you can pre-purchase a drink card along with your ticket.
Accessibility
Gooikoorts makes an effort to accommodate individuals with limited mobility, offering dedicated parking spaces, wheelchair-accessible infrastructure, adapted toilets and more.
Electric charging stations
Need to charge your electric vehicle? You’ll find an Allego charching station at Koekoekstraat 6, near the library, and two more charging points at the parking lot behind Dorpstraat 24 (continue driving to the back of the buildings). You can also charge your phone or power bank at a charging station near the bar on the festival grounds.
Camping
- Friday, July 4th from 14:00 to Monday, July 7th at 12:00
- free for all visitors with a festivalticket, including kids up to 12 years old
No festival without camping! You can spend the night just a stone's throw from the festival grounds, surrounded by the lush greenery of Gooik. There are two separate fields: one for tents, where no vehicles are allowed, and one for caravans and campervans.
Camping tents
This campsite can be accessed through the festival entrance on Lindestraat or via P2. You can unload and load at the entrance (limited spaces) or park on P2. You can use wheelbarrows to transport your belongings on foot, or bring your own cart. Vehicles are not allowed on this campsite. Showers, washbasins, and toilets are available for your convenience.
Camping mobilhome
Caravans and campervans can set up on the campsite at Houteman (access via Dorpsstraat). To reach the festival grounds, you can walk along the path around the site to the entrance. You can use the toilets available on the festival grounds.

Bring your instrument!
We invite musicians to join spontaneous jam sessions under the canopy at the bar. Anyone is welcome to play music throughout the day! You can also jam on the campsite during the day. From 10 PM to 8 AM, we ask for quiet hours on the campsite for those who want to sleep. Bring your instrument, meet other musicians and enjoy the musical vibe at Gooikoorts!
Instrument cloakroom
Opening hours
- Friday, July 4th: 7 PM to 11 PM
- Saturday, July 5th: 11 AM to 11 PM
- Sunday, July 6th: 11 AM to 9 PM
If you’re not in the mood to jam, no worries! Safely store your instrument at our instrumentroom on the festival grounds. You can drop it off or pick it up during the day. A friendly volunteer will keep an eye on it and ensure your valuable musical companion is well cared for.
After closing hours, the instruments will be securely kept until the next day when the cloakroom opens again. Space is limited, so it’s first come, first served. This way, you can enjoy your musical moments without worrying about your instrument’s safety!
